Everyone Knows about Cyclone “Fani” that destroyed the lives of Odisha people. The damage was so severe that recovery was robust. Many families lost their loved ones. There have been severe hardships that people faced due to this Cyclone “Fani.” The after effects were more dreadful as they had a lot more liabilities to oblige. To redress their hardships, CBDT issued an order under section 119 of the Income Tax Act, 1961. There was a breakdown of communication systems; the lives of the people were disturbed totally. CBDT gave the order for such tax deductors under Section 119 that:
• The due date of depositing TDS for April 2019 is extended from 7th May 2019 to 20th May 2019.
• Due date of filing a quarterly statement of TDS for the last quarter of FY 2018-19 has been extended from 31st May 2019 to 30th June 2019
• Date of issue of TDS certificate has been extended from 15th June 2019 to 15th July 2019
CBDT order is like a hope that could give minor help to Odisha People. It gave them the time that can be used to improve their messed up things.
