This was my first ever experience to the Brahmatal treks – the much-awaited trip of the year. The most challenging trip of life was trekking these gigantic mountain passes, though all of it was a breathtaking experience in the Himalayas. However, this trek was the ultimate fun to distress myself. I was able to reconnect with my soul once again after discovering this beautiful place. For me wandering outside is just not roaming, it is discovering the “new me in my self and most importantly giving time to myself.”
I would always imagine myself sitting over the top of someplace; sipping hot coffee and all this would give me total solace. This became true when I heard about my college taking some random students to the trek and camping holiday. Thus my journey to discover the Himalayas began. It was December 2017, when some 20 students began the trip by boarding the train from Delhi to Kathgodam. Here we were doing our trekking with this amazing trekking organization named – Thrillophilia. 2 days later, the road journey from Kathgodam to the beautiful mountains of Uttrakhand began. We explored some fantastic and picturesque views of the Himalayan ranges. Many trekkers could be seen scattered from a farther view. Such brilliance of nature it was, I never had imagined in my dreams.
The road journey to Uttrakhand was almost for 10 hours before we could begin our trek to the Bramhall pass. We had a warm welcome by the organization that took us for this amazing trek. The next day, the most awaited trek to the Brahmatals began, with lots of excitement (and a little bit of fear). I could hear the crackling sound of the snow beneath my foot. Every step was taken with caution and safety. Covering those vast mountain ranges, camping mode on with fire at night, hot cup of tea and the sky full of stars; was such a fantastic experience I ever had in my lifetime with Thrillophilia.
