Bikanerwala – King of Sweets and Namkeens

Bikanerwala was founded in the year 1950 by Shyam Sunar Aggarwal and is headquartered in Delhi. It is now an international brand that manufactures a variety of sweets, savories, papads, and sherbets. The revenue of Bikanerwala is estimated at over $115M. It started off as a small sweet shop in Bikaner, which was famous for its sweets and Bikaneri Bhujia, after that they opened a shop in Chandni Chowk’s famous Paranthe Wali Gali in the name of ‘Bikaner Bhujia Bhandar’. Over a period of time, they opened various stores in Delhi.

In 1988, Bikanerwala launched its affiliate ‘Bikano’ in the market for selling packaged sweets and namkeens. Today, Bikanerwala is estimated to be a brand of over 1000crores that has around 90 outlets in India and more than 25 outlets across the globe, including the USA, Nepal, Singapore and New Zealand.

Bikanerwala manufactures all the products in compliance with the international standards and that is why it made a hat-trick by winning the prestigious ‘Best Sweet Shop’ award for straight three years in a row for the years 2012, 2013 and 2014 by Times Food Awards. It has also entered into the hospitality business and opened a premium and ultra-luxurious hotel in the Banjara Hills area of Hyderabad.
