In the year 2015, a startup named Qtrove was started by Prashant Nagarajan and Vinamra Pandiya and it is headquartered in Bengaluru. The company sells handmade non-mass produced food, creatively recycled beauty, fashion, household items, pet care, and bath items made from completely organic, natural, and sustainable ingredients. These new products are of very good quality and environmental value.

The company has expanded rapidly in a short span and has over 3000 products in 40 categories through 200 sellers spread all across India. The target audiences of Qtrove.com are people falling in the age bracket 20-45 years, who love to spend a good amount on curated products and are well-read about up-cycled, organic, and sustainable products and their environmental value, rather than just focusing on offers and discounts.

The company’s main agenda is to ensure the quality of products available online through a number of quality checks and using only real ingredients for preparing the products and ensuring no artificial ingredients and preservatives are used. The company also has a ‘Storyteller Team’ which shoots the products sold online in a great manner to encourage the buyers to buy these unique products.

The main focus of the company is to engage the customers and not just offer them high discounts, they charge shipping on per product basis, so the more products a person orders, the more shipping he will have to shell-out. As far as the commission is concerned, the charges between 25 to 40% commission from the sellers, as the profit margin is high as the products are not sold on the basis of MRP.

According to the owners of the company, it is not all competing with other e-commerce giants like Amazon or Flipkart, which focus on getting bulk orders and giving a lot of discounts. The prime focus of Qtrove.com is selling authentic products and this policy has resulted in the company getting nearly 500 orders per day.
