Google is one of the most common search widgets in android phones. Mostly everyone uses this for searching for information, but now the policies regarding search are changing, and you may not like those changes. Google is burying some of the information from its Google search app, and it will mostly hide user’s results. Before this change, users could search for data stored in their devices from the search widget. That search includes contact details, Gmails, etc., but as I have mentioned above, Google is changing search on your phones, so it has buried some information.
Now it is almost painful to see data from the calendar, Gmail, search history, etc. from the search widget. Google hasn’t mentioned the reason of removing personal data from the widget and auto-complete section. But the reason may be the firm wants to bring more focus on Google assistant searches. It also is possible that due to European Commission’s Android antitrust ruling, Google has decided to remove personal data and auto-complete section from its Google search widget. But as Google has resolved this, then it surely has some specific reason behind that.
