Domestic flights: Air India opens online booking


The latest notification from Air India on its website came. It says due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and citizens’ health concern, booking stopped. There will be no booking for domestic until 3 May 2020 and for international flights until 31 May 2020.

Air India further announces, booking for selected domestic destination flights will resume from 4 May onwards. However, for the International destination, it will continue from 1 June 2020.

Air India officials are continuously monitoring and reviewing the situations. In case if there are any changes with the notifications, they will update customers about the same.

The entire nation is under lockdown from 25 March, 2020 to stop the widespread of the novel coronavirus. The Prime Minister of India, Narender Modi, has announced the first phase of lockdown from 25 April till 14 April, 2020. On 14 April, after considering the country’s situation, he further extends the lockdown until 3 May 2020.


  • Air India, the national carrier, opened its bookings to the selected domestic destination from 4 May onwards.
  • For international flights, bookings are open from 1 June, 2020.

At the beginning of April, Air India stopped domestic and international flights until further notice.
